CHEESE IS KING.......2007-09-12
Ok I just finished watching MAC DADDY with the CHEESE Commentary and OH MY HELLO! This was so funny I almost wet my pants. As a Fosters Fan and a Huge Fan of Cheese I just have to say this is the BEST SHOW EVER.
When ever I am down I just turn on my Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.
If you have Season 1 Why would you not get Season 2?
Bring it ON!!! =).......2007-09-05
Wow, I love this show! I was among the first to get Season 1, and now I'm so excited about Season 2! The show can be picked up at any time, but in Season 1, we last saw Blooregard, called Bloo for short, causing all sorts of ruckus with his new friends Wilt, Eduardo and Coco, who are also imaginary. Mac still visits him every day and usually gets dragged unwillingly into the turmoil. And they all continue to have some of the greatest and most hilarious adventures together! Their friendships continue to strengthen, and we get to know some of the other characters, particularly Madame F.'s sweet granddaughter Frankie. There's little details I can share since the DVD hasn't officially been released yet. I'll update this review when I get my pre-ordered copy in the mail.
As for the episodes, they're all great this season! Well, except maybe one IMHO. And they are------
*Partying Is Such Sweet Soiree*
*The Big Lablooski*
*Where There's a Wilt There's a Way / Everyone Knows It's Bendy*
*Sight For Sore Eyes / Bloo's Brothers*
*Cookie Dough*
*Frankie My Dear*
*Mac Daddy*
*Squeakerboxxx*
*Beat With A Schtick*
*Sweet Stench Of Success*
*Bye Bye Nerdy*
*Bloo Done It*
*My So-Called Wife*
Special features include----
*An All New "Gallery of Friends"* -A look at the lesser known friends in the house
*End of Episode Gags* -The fun little scenes CN sometimes shows during the credits at the end of the episode
*"Cheesequest"* -A special "music video" featuring Cheese. This is actually a fun "short" rather than a music video. It has been aired on Cartoon Network a number of times already. It features Cheese imagining himself being sucked into a Nintendo-style video game, and hops, runs, flies and swims his way through, collecting points, all while fun video game music plays in the background.
*A Commentary on "Mac Daddy" by Cheese* -Not sure how the commentary will go, for knowing Cheese... We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
And now, I look forward to Season 3! Bring it ON!!! =)
A Great Cartoon for Young & Old.......2007-07-22
At last! After purchasing the 1st season on iTunes, I've patiently been waiting for them to release the 2nd season of this wonderfully creative and pleasantly funny series. But for some reason, they've jumped around and have decided to start selling the fifth season.
No matter! Amazon has come to the rescue buy not only providing me the 2nd season, but also with DVD extras including a Cheese music video, a gallery of imaginary friends, and show promos. And at $5 less than what the other seasons have been selling for on iTunes.
The great episodes in this season:
"Partying is Such Sweet Soriee" - 5/5 - A personal favorite of mine, since it's the first episode of "Foster's" I ever saw. When Madam Foster and Frankie decide to go out one night, Bloo decides to throw a wild house party.
"The Big Lablooski" - 3/5 - Bloo, Mac and the gang join Madam Foster's bowling team. Not one of my all-time favorites, but it has its moments, like Bloo's desperate attempts at winning a paddleball from a claw machine.
"Where There's a Wilt There's a Way/Everyone Knows it's Bendy" - 4/5 - A two-part episode. First there's poor Wilt. He can't say no to anyone, no matter how much of an inconvenience it is for him. And then, when a new guy, Bendy, comes to the house, he starts causing all kinds of problems. When Bloo decides to expose him for the troublemaker he is, he leaves quite a trail of destruction behind him.
"Sight For Sore Eyes/Bloo's Brothers" - 4/5 - Another two parter. In the first segment, Ivan, a seeing-eye friend, has been separated from his kid. When Bloo and Mac decide to help him, they end up getting separated, as well. Next, when Mac takes Bloo to school for Show and Tell, Bloo wows his classmates. So much in fact, that all the kids go home and make their own, somewhat flawed version of our hero. When the copies get returned to the house, Mac can't tell which Bloo is his Bloo.
"Cookie Dough" - 3/5 - I can't really remember too much about this episode, since I haven't seen it in a while. I do know that Bloo is hilarious as a money-grubbing, slave-driving, entrepreneur.
"Frankie, My Dear" - 4/5 - When Bloo and Mac both develop crushes on Frankie, they resort to any means necessary to keep her away from other guys. This episode features the first appearance of Orlando Bloo.
"Mac Daddy" 5/5 - Who doesn't already know what this episode is about? The premiere episode of Cheese, that weird, annoying friend that suddenly shows up in Mac's bed. Great episode, especially since it shows Bloo caring about someone other than himself.
Squeakerboxxx" - 4/5 - After a day at the arcade, the gand decides to put all their tickets together for a better surprise. They end up selecting `Harry Elefante' (loved this!). Too bad Bloo breaks the toy the first time he plays with it, and must work desperately to win more tickets and get another prize before the other's realize it.
"Beat With a Schtick" - 3/5 - Bloo, being Bloo, manages to offend a rather large new friend, who challenges him to a fight at 4 o'clock. It doesn't help that everyone else in the house is looking forward to Bloo's challenge and is taking bets against him. A cute episode, but they've produced better.
"The Sweet Stench of Success" - 4/5 - After appearing in an `Adopt a Friend' spot on the news, Bloo becomes the mascot for DEO, a deodorant brand. Unfortunately for our dear friend, his new manager isn't that nice of a guy.
"Bye Bye Nerdy"- 4/5 - After seeing Mac doing homework during recess, Bloo is convinced that Mac is a nerd. Taking it upon himself to make his friend cooler, Bloo turns Mac into a walking ad for 1987. A great episode! I loved the 80's jokes.
"Bloo Done It" - 5/5 - When Uncle Pockets, a beloved professional friend, returns to the house, Bloo is determined to find dirt on the guy. Using the house newspaper and his ace reporting skills, Bloo discovers a horrible secret! As a student journalist, this episode really left me laughing. Bloo is quite possibly the best reporter ever. Not an ethical one, but still...
--Frankie: "Sounds to me like someone's jealous!"
--Bloo: "Not jealous, journalis...t."
"My So-Called Wife" - 3/5 - While Mr. Herriman and Coco try to impress an eccentric billionaire in order to get funds for the house, Frankie and Mac try to teach Bloo the fine art of sarcasm. They don't fare well...
Great show, great characters, great storylines!! I can't wait for the 3rd season and the introduction of Goo!
Can't Wait!.......2007-07-20
This show is da best show ever! I can't wait for this 2 come out on DVD! So get it!!

The animated pooch detective returns in Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which packs a wealth of ghostly villains from the Saturday morning cartoon into one movie. When Mystery Inc. opens a museum exhibit of costumes of their old foes, a new masked foe appears and steals everything--and before you know it, all the costumes come to life, chasing Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr., Head Over Heels), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar, TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Velma (Linda Cardellini, Freaks and Geeks), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard, SLC Punk), and the computer-animated Scooby Doo all over Coolsville. It's no better or worse than the first Scooby Doo movie. Watching live-action scenes that you've previously seen in two dimensions is vaguely uncanny; it's like deja vu turned inside out. Also featuring the weirdly unsynchronized lips of Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), Seth Green (Austin Powers), and Peter Boyle (Young Frankenstein). --Bret Fetzer

Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed .......2007-03-17
I just love it! I am a Scooby-Doo fan.
JASON'S MOM.......2007-02-24
Great movie for all ages. Our family realy enjoyed this movie. Highly recomend!
I Enjoyed It More Then the First.......2007-02-22
It's a big night in Coolsville. A museum is opening and its main exhibit is a tribute to the Mysteries, Inc. gang featuring the costumes of many of the creatures they've defeated over the years. Naturally, everyone is on hand for the opening. But things don't go smoothly. Much to everyone's shock, the Pterodactyl Ghost comes to life and starts flying around the museum. When Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) and Scooby-Doo try to stop it, they make a mess of the museum.
Fred (Freddie Prinz, Jr.), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Velma (Linda Cardellini) immediately spring into action trying to figure out how and why the monster came to life. The obvious suspect is Old Man Wickles (Peter Boyle), a former foe just released from jail.
When more of their former foes come to life, the townspeople turn against the gang. Can they stop the monsters, stay alive, and solve the mystery?
I haven't seen many of the cartoon episodes, but this movie actually made me wish I had. These monsters were creepy yet cool at the same time. Overall, the story was much better then the original movie with several viable suspects. Shaggy and Scooby attempt to shed their goofy image and gather actual clues, but on the whole, the gang even works together this time. Once again, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini are the standouts of the cast, while Seth Green and Alicia Silverstone are great additions this time around.
This sequel should appeal more to fans of the series. While forgettable, it's also good for a couple hours entertainment.
better than the first.......2007-02-14
A word of warming even though this movie got a PG rating I do not recommend it two any one you should be at least 12 or older. The reason why is because grow up as a little kid and not being able to tell real from fake well I had a lot of nightmares from watching some of the earlier scoby do movies witch ame out in the mid 1990s and early. To be more specific the movies in the cartoon series that gave me nighmares were Zoombie Island, Reluctant Werewolf, Boo Brothers, and the Ghoal school. In this movie and evil villian capture the costume of some the gangs famous foe from the past and turns them into relive monster including Captain Cutlers, ghost and the 10000 volt ghost. If you like this and you I also recommend Scoody Doo I
Much MUch MUCh MUCH better than the first! .......2007-02-03
I liked this one better than the first one because it's funnier and a much better plot. And plus It's got most of the villains from the cartoon on it like... Pterodactyl, The Black Knight Ghost, The Skeleton Men, Zombie, Captain Cutler, Miner 49er, The Tar Monster, The 10,000 Volt Ghost, and The Cotton Candy Glob which was not on the cartoon... I wonder why. Now the person who brings all those villains to life is an evil masked figure who could be Dr. Johnathin Jacobo, Old Man Wickles, or Patrick. And all of the costumes are in a museum which Patricks made with the exhibits. It's up to Mystery Inc to stop this masked figure and his monsters. And this time Fred is a better leader, Daphne is tougher, Velma is smarter, Shaggy is Shaggier, and Scooby is Scoobier. YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS FILM!

Ethan Hawke, fresh faced and full of determination, tackles the icy wilds and rowdy boom towns of Alaska in Disney's 1991 adaptation of Jack London's turn-of-the-century gold rush classic. Though somewhat tamed for young audiences, the story of a city kid who befriends a feral half-wolf/half-dog orphan while learning to survive the dangers of nature and man has its share of peril and rousing scenes of wilderness adventure. But the humans are upstaged by both the animals (the standoff between White Fang and a wild brown bear is a highlight) and the Alaskan landscape, from the snow-covered mountains and frozen lakes of winter to the rich green forests and whitecap rivers of summer. The scenes of dogfights and wild wolves hunting game are carefully shot to avoid bloodshed (the opening disclaimer takes pains to remind viewers that all such scenes have been simulated), but they may still be too intense for young children. Recommended for 9 and up. --Sean Axmaker

Customer Reviews:
Good movie ---but nothing like the book.......2007-05-31
I had read White Fang with my 8th graders recently and thought it might be good to compare with the movie. WOAH! Who is Jack? Where was Weedon Scott? Gray Beaver is actually kind of a nice guy in this movie. It was a good adventure movie, but if you are expecting it to be like the book, think again. It WAS good to show the students that movies aren't always accurate to the book, and that was a good lesson to teach. I would have liked this production to be truer to the novel, but not a bad movie to enjoy with the family.
White Fang.......2007-05-12
A very well orchastrated and touching sequel to that age old classic "Call of the Wild." I loved the book and the old movie, and this has proven to be a classic in the making to match it. The actors were believable and had you right in the midst of their struggles, clashes, and victories. Heart tugging and a tear jerker at times. It is definitely a keeper and well worth to add to ones library of films.
Delightful Surprise.......2007-04-29
I own this movie. First saw it on satellite because I love Jack London and the TIVO caught this because it is based on his novel. Even though it is different from the novel it captures the spirit of his story and as Ebert says, it is great entertainment in its own right. Anyone who loves canines is going to love this movie. Even some people I know who don't love canines, still loved the movie.
I liked it so much I bought the DVD. Excellent story, excellent soundtrack (the music is beautiful), excellent cinematography, excellent acting by both man and beast. Four stars because as like another previous reviewer, to release a movie as beautiful as this one in pan and scan instead of widescreen is a crime. Why Disney? This movie deserved widescreen. This movie is quality, maybe the best Disney live action movie, surely the best Disney live action movie I have ever seen. Good for repeated viewing at my house and well worth the purchase.
White Fang.......2007-01-11
I was very pleased. Will order other movies.
Thanks,
Diana Myers
What does this have to do with Jack London's book?.......2007-01-09
I love Jack London's books and have since childhood, so it's hard for me to understand why Disney would take a classic book title and make up a new story to go under it. I re-read WHITE FANG two months ago and there is precious little in this movie that was in the book. Jack London did not write kiddie books (nor did Anna Sewell, for that matter) and I understand how difficult it would be to adapt his works to the screen and get a family rating. Even so, people who read and loved the book and expect to see an adaptation of the original classic might well be terribly disappointed. If it's a good film and a good original script, then it should be allowed its own title and the Disney writers should get the credit for the story.

Product Description
From the director of The Sandlot comes this fun-filled sequel that proves the power of teamwork and celebrates the magic of friendship. Ten years after the original story, the local dirt field is no "home" to a new group of neighborhood kids who get together to share laughs, show off...and play ball! But the gang faces their toughest challenge as they try to retrieve an irreplaceable model rocket that lands in Mr. Mertle's (James Earl Jones) backyard behind left field - a forbidden territory guarded by a legendary beast know as "The Great Fear."
Amazon.com
A decade has passed in the small town where the original Sandlot gang banded together during the summer of '62 to play baseball and battle the Beast. Now comes the sequel, a campy romp back to the dugout where nine new kids descend on the diamond only to discover that a descendant of the Beast lives in Mr. Mertle's backyard--a monster of mythical proportions known as "The Great Fear." Director/writer David Evans cleverly ties his two films together by introducing Johnnie Smalls, kid brother of Scotty Smalls ("You're killin' me, Smalls") who is well-versed in the legendary struggle for possession of the Babe Ruth baseball. Smalls befriends the sandlot gang (which now includes three girls) and its leader, David Vincent Durango, and relates the rumor of "a mutated, insane Bigfoot dog thing" behind the left field fence. Summer unfolds with baseball rivalries, rocket launchers, and the infamous Carnival kissing booth, but fate will forever change the history of the sandlot when a crisis forces Smalls and Durango to join forces against The Fear. Regardless of one's sentiments on sequels, Evans' writing in this remake is nearly as fresh and full of memorable quips as the original, including his characteristically understated narration. And while the film may be faulted for its forced melodrama and unseasoned cast, James Earl Jones lends his star appeal and the 70s soundtrack will make you wish for the days when fireworks were legal. Rated PG for profanity and raunchy humor. (Ages 6 to 14) --Lynn Gibson
Customer Reviews:
How is this a sequel??.......2007-05-29
This is not a sequel to Sandlot.. It's a HORRIBLE remake.. the scenes are almost exactly the same but cheesier.. blech.. I can't believe they tried to murder the original. Shame on whoever made this.
Just a Special Feature.......2007-05-14
This dvd may be good for fans of the original movie only because of the Special Feature "Sandlot Kids: Then and Now" which has interviews and behind the scenes shots of the original films cast.
For a better follow up story to "The Sandlot" I'd recommend the recently released "Sandlot 3 Heading Home".
Meet The Sandlot's little annoying brother .......2007-04-13
Usually when a sequel is made it goes out of its way to be different than the original, even if the original was a classic film. This one, despite trying to be everything that the original Sandlot was, fails miserably.
First of all, there is no real personality to the characters like there was in the first one. This might just be the acting, the script, or a combination of both. There is no sense of camaraderie between the characters in comparsion to the original Sandlot. The stupidity of some scenes don't fall into the "fun" category that we might excuse in a kid's movie. Instead, this movie's production seemed rushed and out to profit from the first film. We see this with so many of the same scenes and conflicts from the first film: the battle for the sandlot, the insults being thrown between the two rival teams, hitting the ball over the fence and having to retrieve it, the legend, etc. If there is one difference, it is that it is supposed to be 10 years later, and there are 3 girls on the team.
Sometimes you can forgive a movie for being unoriginal and poor. But, not this one.
The average 2 star rating given to this film is about right on I'd say.
doesn't get any better.......2006-11-10
My 5 and 8 year old loved the first sandlot and so I ventured to buy this one. They love it! I was very impressed. It is a clean family movie that I feel comfortable letting them watch. They watched it over and over again. I think you will be very pleased.
Movie made for money.......2006-09-24
Not worth seeing if you have seen the first one...all this move does is mirror the first sandlot. Change the names add a couple of girls and maybe switch the script around and Sandlot 1 and 2 are pretty much the same. I bet you could watch them at the same time and the timing would be right but the words would be different. Not worth buying if you have the first one. Which I will add is an awsome movie. This movie should have never been made...stay away from S2 because the only purpose of this movie was to make the director some more money and make you poor.

Scott Bairstow takes over for Ethan Hawke in this spirited (if clichéd) sequel involving a peaceful Haida Indian tribe and a con man in preacher's garb (Alfred Molina, just oozing evil) in 1906 Alaska. Bairstow discovers his inner wolf as he bonds with the tribe and falls in love with the chief's spirited daughter (Charmaine Craig), White Fang finds true love in a snow-white female wolf, and together they take on the dastardly villains who have stopped the caribou and imprisoned the hunters of the tribe. Less Jack London than a juvenile Dances with Wolves, this clunky but action-packed cliffhanger combines old-fashioned matinee Western clichés with Native American spiritualism and a celebration of nature. Though it's hardly subtle, the energetic action scenes and the beauty of the Alaskan summer make this an engaging adventure for the younger set. --Sean Axmaker

Fast shipping, good packaging, and exactly what I ordered.......2006-03-26
The DVD came quickly, was shipped in a box with bubble wrap, and it was exactly the item I ordered.
Another Great Adventure..........................2003-03-03
In this movie Jack has gone back to San Francisco and his friend Henry is mining his claim and caring for White Fang.
This story is mixed with Native American spiritualality and mysticism. They are in need of the white wolf (White Fang, or is it Henry?) to lead them to the caribou they are in need of to prevent starvation among their people.
This sequel is very entertaining with beautiful scenery.
A great family film.
Disney made this up........2003-01-23
I've read White fang and there is no mention of Myth of a White Wolf. Disney had to have a sequel, so they made up this story.
Great Family Movie.......2002-07-06
I have watched this movie a number of times and still find the story to be interesting. The simplicity and predictability of this movie makes it a great movie for younger elementary children, but there is enough plot and action to keep the family entertained. I enjoy the Alaskan setting and the images of the Haida village. There is a love story woven in with the young hero's role of finding the caribou and saving the village, but neither plot goes into anything overly sentimental or complicated.
I have used this movie in a fourth grade classroom to have them identify the main characters, the setting, the problem(plot), and the solution: things that are found in any good story, be it written or in a movie. They enjoyed the movie and it worked well for the assignment. This is a great family movie because it contains these basic story elements and does it well, making it watchable again and again.
White Wolf.......2001-03-08
All I can say is that this was a brillent movie. I'm glad i saw the 2nd White Fang first. The first one was a big turn off to me. The story is about a young man who is having some dificultly understanding the native americans beliefs. With the Help of White fang a a native american girl Henry begins to understand thier ways, but he is soon to discover that the native Americans life is in danger and only he and white fang can save them.

Timeless Truth for Kids (and their Parents).......2007-02-20
Each Hermie and Friends DVD contains timeless truths for both children and their parents. Flo the Lyin' Fly, as the title suggests, shows the importance of telling the truth at a level that young children can understand. It is a story that resonates with their little hearts.
In this video, Flo' is a fly who wants to be liked and thinks that she has to embellish the truth, fabricate elaborate stories, for her friends to like her. She learns though that not telling the truth can get you into trouble as the lies add up. She discovers that others don't want to be around someone who lies. In the end, she discovers the problem with lying, seeks forgiveness from her friends and gains their trust.
Parents can use this video as a teaching tool about lying and the importance of telling the truth; because truth matters and it is knowable.
Great Video.......2006-03-24
This is a wonderful video. My toddler requests to watch this movie over and over. Picture quality is great and the message hits home.
Even better than the first Hermie video.......2005-08-30
This DVD is hilariously funny, has a wonderful story line and awesome music by Third Day! Vicky Lawrence brings this character to life and captivates my kids with Flo's antics. I even still like it after the 100th time my son asks to watch it.
Teaches the importance of telling the truth and reinforces Christian values.
No lyin' here!.......2005-06-18
Our son absolutley LOVES this DVD!! He is 2 and a half, and he understands the concept and especially loves the bright colors and the music. He watches it over and over. My husband and I like the fact that kids can be entertained and learn a lesson at the same time. We would definitely recommend this one!
Great Video.......2004-06-18
My son loved this video. He can watch it over and over. This is a great video on lying. I would purchase it for others as a gift. The quality of the video is great. This is one of his best videos.
Customer Reviews:
Amazing.......2005-07-20
This Item is great for children and adults alike. If you are a fan of Ren and Stimpy this is a must own, my only disappointment is the fact that there is only four episodes on this disc. The entire program only aired thirteen episodes, so they should really consider just releasing the entire season on DVD, until then this is wonderful.
Zany but uneven.......2005-01-28
The Ripping Friends are a group of testosterone-poisoned, over-muscled brothers who fight bizarre villains in unconventional ways. In a genre as old and tired as Super-heros, it is a spark of fresh creativity. John K's sophomoric humor (butt shots, flatulence, veiled homoeroticism) comes out in full force. Some of the gags are borrowed from Ren and Stimpy, but there is a new feel to the show, where it pokes fun at the paternalistic attitude of shows like the Superfriends.
Still, I can't help feeling that John K is holding back. The brilliant moments of strangeness are spaced out with long moments of tedious plot set-up, clumsy timing, and boring cliches. It feels rushed, as if John's legendary production values were set aside to meet deadlines. This is not on the same level as Ren and Stimpy, which is probably why the show does not get aired nearly as often. Nevertheless, to the collector of strange animation, it is a requisite purchase.
Another disappointment is the fact that there are only 4 episodes in this DVD. I don't know why they could not include all 13 in a multi-disc set. Some of my favorite episodes, like "Man Man" were not included. I don't know if they will ever be available, which is a big bummer, because I would definitely buy them.
Only four episodes.......2004-12-14
Ripping friends is great but with the only 4 episodes I would have to give it 4 stars. Last week I saw a DVD with all 13 episodes and bought it, but Im not sure whether you can get it in the USA. Worth looking out for though.
SPUMCO RULES!!!.......2004-04-09
JOHN K AND SPUMCO DELIVER THE GOODS ONCE AGAIN! BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT'S A DAMN SHAME THAT THEY JUST CAN'T CATCH A MUCH NEEDED BREAK INTO MAINSTREAM TELEVISION. HELL, THEY AREN'T EVEN ON ADULT SWIM! AND WHY IS THIS?! SPUMCO (ESPECIALLY JOHN K IN PARTICULAR) HAS NEVER BEEN THE ANIMATION HOUSE THAT PLAYED BY THE RULES (SEE REN AND STIMPY DEBACLE). AND I GUESS WE CAN THANK GOD FOR THAT. FOR IF THEY DID THEY'D BE A LOT LESS MEMORABLE AND MORE OF THE SAME BLAND UNIMAGINATIVE TOONS THAT HAVE COME AND GONE AND COME AGAIN.
WITH THAT BEING SAID I HAVE TO PRAISE JOHN K'S SOPHOMORE EFFORT INTO TV. IT DELIVERS ALL THE CLASSIC SPUMCO HUMOR ALTHOUGH JUST A LITTLE SOFTENED BUT NOT ENOUGH TO WHINE ABOUT (AND THAT'S TO YOU ALL YOU BLOWHARD TOON CRITICS!). THE FIRST EPISODE "THE INDIGESTIBLE WAD" IS MASTERFUL AND I COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH NEARLY UNCONTROLLABLY. THE ANIMATION IS AS SMOOTH AS IT COULD BE WITH THE TRADEMARK PANS THAT SPUMCO HAS BEEN KNOWN FOR.
HOWEVER THE EPISODE ANIMATION QUALITY DOES SLINK AS THE EPISODES GO ON. BY THE LAST ONE "THE FRICTOR" IT'S ALMOST WARNER BROS (NEW SCHOOL WB) QUALITY AND IT'S A TAD DISTRACTING. THE STORY LINES HOWEVER ARE STILL GREAT I JUST WISH THAT THEY KEPT UP WITH THE "WAD". ALL IN ALL A GREAT BUY AND A MUST HAVE FOR ANY TOON FAN. HOWEVER ONLY 4 EPISODES IS A CRIME ESPECIALLY SINCE THEIR ARE LIKE 10 OR SO MORE! STOP TORTURING US AND RELEASE THEM. WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF? MAKING MONEY???!!
Four first are good, can't wait for the others..........2002-10-22
I was hugely disappointed when Fox decided to replace The Ripping Friends with more Pokemon-esque cartoons. I'm relieved though, that they at least released these episodes on video/dvd. Unfortunately, this collection only has the first four episodes out of thirteen or so (The Ripping Friends were aired for only one season).
Extras on the DVD include a preview and some storyboards with the animation sequence they illustrated. I wish they had an interview with the genius behind the madness, John K., who is also the creator of Ren and Stimpy.
I think kids won't find the show as entertaining as kitsch/nostalga loving teens and adults. Some of the jokes are actually pretty "mature" ... .
Wish I could give the collection 5 stars, but the lack of special features and being only 4 episodes (total of 80 minutes) is a definite minus.

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. But can a kid help an old grouch change his ways? Picking up immediately where the 1996 family favorite Shiloh left off, Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season continues the drama of a boy, his dog, and the dog's menacing original owner. Zachary Browne plays the part of Marty Preston, the young boy who rescued an abused beagle by standing up to local troublemaker Judd Travers (another convincing performance by Scott Wilson). Although Marty and Judd struck a deal, Judd seems bent on making the boy and his family pay in more ways than one for keeping Shiloh. Fueled by alcohol, Judd's suspicious character and his tendency to shoot whatever critters he pleases deeply disturb young Marty. Once again, the boy risks his own safety and exercises immense courage and compassion to turn Judd into a friend. Michael Moriarty and Rod Steiger reprise their roles as Marty's father and Doc Wallace, respectively. Because the sequel leans heavily on the original movie's plot, it loses its punch as a stand-alone show. Slightly tougher subject matter (the effects of alcoholism, in particular) warrants a slightly older audience; families with 7- to 12-year-olds should fare well. Based on the second book, Shiloh Season, in Phyllis Reynolds Naylor's popular children's trilogy. --Liane Thomas

DEJA VU DOG STORY.......2006-10-26
It's heart is in the right place and the message that we must be kind even to those who won't reciprocate is admirable, but SHILOH 2 is merely a retread of the first movie, and nothing really new or truly exciting happens.
Zachary Browne takes over the role of Marty and he does a nice job. Michael Moriarty (who acts like he's having trouble moving) and Ann Dowd return as his parents; Scott Wilson returns as nasty Judd, who wants Shiloh back and who is as unlikeable as ever; and Rod Steiger and Bonnie Bartlett reprise their roles of the doctor and his wife.
I respect a movie that puts family values and doing the right thing, but as a movie, it's only mildly diverting for adults, but let the kids watch it and see a movie where rap music is unheard of.
shilo 2 season.......2006-02-02
I read the book shilo because I thought it would be a good book. And I was right it was a very good book. It was a very exiting book. I especially like the part were Shilo cmes to Marti. I like this book because I like animals. It made me kind of sad when Jud tried to hurt Shilo. I look forward to reading more Shilo books.
EVEN BETTER THEN NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-06-13
This movie is EVEN BETTER then the first. Ok the first was GREAT! But this one is GRAND!!! I LOVED how Shiloh shows what any dog will do. FORGIVE! I LOVED this movie! The acting is GREAT!!!
BUY THIS MOVIE!!!!!
It's one of my favorite animal movies!
A Great Message Sender.......2005-05-03
I love all kinds of dogs particularly hounds and I really enjoyed watching Shiloh II Shiloh season. Not only is it a great animal movie but it teaches a great lesson how a little kindness goes a long way. Although it was good in that sense it was also a little violent which is why it's rated PG. Overall it was very pleasing to watch and to learn from.
Great Movie...almost EXACTLY the same as the book!.......2000-10-06
This movie was great, almost just like the book (which dosen't usally happen)! Funny, suspenseful, and a real good movie. And best of all, Marty got a haircut! :)
