Martin Scorsese comes home to the mean streets of New York with Bringing Out the Dead, the hyperkinetic tale of an ambulance driver (Nicolas Cage) on three sleep-deprived, adrenaline-fueled nights amongst the dead and dying of the city. Less a coherent narrative than a mood piece, the film is a welcome return to form for Scorsese, who takes Joe Connelly's memoir and spins it into a slightly surreal, darkly comic tale of one man's redemption. Frank Pierce (Cage) is a man who feels impotent in his job as an EMT--less a lifesaver, he's more of a grief mop as he sardonically puts it, bearing witness to the pain and suffering of others. Haunted by the specter of a young homeless girl, something stirs in Frank when he meets Mary (Patricia Arquette), the daughter of a heart attack victim Frank attends to. In a world where human interaction usually means putting someone on a stretcher, or bantering frenetically with his coworkers, Frank seems headed for certain physical and nervous collapse.

Scorsese, screenwriter Paul Schrader (of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull), and cinematographer Robert Richardson put a vivid spin on the New York of the early 90s with amazing visual flair and keen, economical storytelling. The film practically pulses with life, and hits the perfect note of ragged exhaustion. Cage, after a recent career slump, turns in an exceptional performance, by turns manic and weary. In fact, this is one of the best casts ever assembled for a Scorsese film: in addition to the quietly effective Arquette, there are great performances by John Goodman, Ving Rhames, and Tom Sizemore as Cage's ambulance partners, as well as Mary Beth Hurt (as an ER doctor), pop star Marc Anthony (as a drug addict), and especially Cliff Curtis (as a drug dealer who winds up in an unusual scrape). It's not a masterpiece in the vein of Taxi Driver, but Bringing Out the Dead ranks as a stunning Scorsese joyride. --Mark Englehart

4 out of 5 stars Martin Scorsese's Take On Taxi Driver 20 Years Later.......2007-09-07

This movie draws a lot of comparisons to Taxi Driver and it's easy to see why. A man, working for the city of New York, is changed by the atmosphere around him.

This movie has Scorsese written all over it. New York settings, introverted, nearly psychotic male leading character, atmospheric change in personality. Another one of his most underrated works.

The DVd doesn't offer much but if you haven't seen it I suggest you do, and buying it is also a worthwile buy.

Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Scorsese and Cage: Howling at the Moon.......2007-05-31

This is a rediculously underrated and little-seen gem of a movie. Scorsese, just coming off of the comparably subdued Kundun and Age of Innocence, returns to his roots recruiting fellow outlaw Paul Schrader for a crazy, religious, surreal film full of everything that the New York night has to offer. The story is basicaly the archityplical Scorsese situation: the lone social misfit must travel a road of violence and guilt to find redemption from a woman who is the embodiement of madonna/harlot. In Taxi Driver a taxi was the hero's chariot that takes him on his journey, in Casino it was an exploding car, in The Aviator it was the dream of the spruce goose's impossible flight, here it's an ambulence that carries him into the night. This film's night pulses with an insane energy and life-force and Scorsese captures every dirty, gritty, lunatic moment of it and throws it back in your face with an obscene relish. Nearly every frame of this movie throbs with electricity as Cage's character is tempted to do the right thing, the apathetic thing, or (literally) throw down the gear-shift and speed off screaming into the night (upside-down no less) in a scene that is remniscent of "Slackers" where a camera is thrown off of a cliff. Now sure this film is extremely kinetic and the in-your-face grit and violence won't do anything for anyone who gets excited at the thought of staying home on a Saturday night for a Merchant-Ivory marathon, but if you're willing to take the plunge then Scorsese is more than willing to light some fire works in your brain.

I bought this for a co-worker. He recommended that I watch it. So, I gave it a try. I gave my co-worker the DVD the next day. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. Just not my cup of tea. Three stars...

5 out of 5 stars ONE OF MY FAVORITES!.......2006-10-13

I saw this film 'cause it looked gosh-darn interesting when it came out in theaters in October 1999. I wasn't able to see it in theaters, though, 'cause I was with one of those 'big brother/mentor' type people who works for a program funded by the gov't...and it was Rated R (this was before the MPAA FINALLY started EXPLAINING why they give movies the ratings they do...) and I was under 17 at the time. Then it came on video and I didn't need my 'big brother/mentor' to pay for me to see it, my mother could do that just fine for me and I watched it and although I had a hard time believing 30 minutes of the way through the film that it wasn't almost over, I didn't WANT it to be almost over, either, 'cause it was like one of thos rare treasures a chocolate that just melts slowly but enjoyably in your mouth...it was just a little confusing, 'cause to this day I still don't understand how they can make a movie SEEM long, yet in "reality" it's not any longer than any other movie with the same running time...and I'm impatient (I don't LET candy or chocolate melt in my mouth - THAT'S HOW IMPATIENT I AM!). This film is a visual-marvel, a gritty yet near-heavenly story, and has moments of pure comedy ('what them voices tellin' you, Frank?'/'they're saying "KILL MARCUS"!'/'hey, now that ain't funny...') and it's all wrapped up in a pleasant whirlwind of a near-dream-come-true that seemingly never ends. I managed to watch this film like 10 times afterward, although now I find it hard to watch it more than once a year...seen it too many times! Still a great film, and I regard it highly for providing so many hours of entertainment!

4 out of 5 stars Why change the ending?.......2006-08-10

This is a good movie; I liked it a lot. That said: After seeing it, I bought and read the book. The ending of the book is one of the most poetic, beautifully sad and perfect endings I've ever read. Why did Scorsese and crew change it for the movie? Probably to make it more upbeat, more crowd-pleasing(condescending). Whatever the reason, it's a crime and a shame. I recommend seeing the movie first and then reading the book. That way you'll enjoy both.

4 out of 5 stars "We all make mistakes, boss. That's why they put the rubber on the ends of pencils.".......2007-07-04

Dead End is a remarkable film because it is the first film starring the Dead End Kids who later became the East Side Kids and finally The Bowery Boys. Leading the gang is Billy Hallop, although later gang leader Leo Gorcey also appears. The boys are just used as culture for the background of a New York City slum where the famous Babyface Martin (Humphrey Bogart) grew up. He returns to see his old girl who he can't seem to forget, and to possibly see his mother. He finds both, but finds them as unfriendly and hostile as the city that raised him. Also starring are Sylvia Sydney and Joel McCrea as decent products of the slums.

This film is both social commentary and entertainment. It does a great job of balancing its artistic aspects and its cinematic potential. Nothing is harped on; it is simply presented. The actors do a fine job of illustrating their parts without becoming overbearing.

Surprisingly, the film was difficult to make. The Dead End Kids came fresh from New York's slums onto the Broadway stage to play their roles. From their success there, they came to Hollywood and took nothing seriously. The boys notoriously played pranks on an irritated Bogart. Their disregard for authority was famous, but their charisma onscreen helped each of the boys become favorites of movie audiences.

5 out of 5 stars Dead End.......2007-06-20

Based on a stage play by Sidney Kingsley and scripted by playwright Lillian Hellman, Wyler's gritty, compelling fable of tenement life in the 1930s was touted in its day as a hard-hitting social drama about class tensions and the origins of crime. Bogart, in one of his first starring roles, is a ringer as the rotten Martin, though a key scene with his disapproving mother shows a vulnerable side, too. McCrea and Sidney carry their weight as the moral heart of Wyler's mean streets, and teen actor Halop plays ragamuffin gang leader Tommy with lots of heart.

2 out of 5 stars A mess of a film..........2007-02-12

Bogie/Hellman/William Wyler/Dead End Kids/cops/gangsters/social consciousness/hookers/t.b./the East River/rich folks dancing the night away in high rise fortresses while the city below teems with resentment and crime/architecture/socialites/film noir shadow-images that didn't add to the film at all, just sort of tarted it up to be something it wasn't...it made my head hurt. It was such a mish-mash: "The Fountainhead" meets "Public Enemy Number One." The faux-city set, the maudlin plot lines, the cliches about the rich, the poor and the criminal...I couldn't believe that, when it was over, I had managed to digest the whole bloody thing. Ugh. The cutesy-bad bowery boys were particularly grating. I found their exaggerated New York accents affected. Bogie looked good - as usual - but was so obviously acting. This created a sense of total, disconnected unreality in every frame. Here's the worse part: thanks to the fact that it was originally a play, the claustrophobic set made what was supposed to be an exciting film stagnant and boring. My final comment: CORN-BALL! Skip it, unless you're doing research.

3 out of 5 stars Chiefly remembered for introducing the Dead End Kids to a delighted world..........2006-12-25

"Dead End" turned out to be Bogart's most important film since "The Petrified Forest." It offers a vivid portrait of people caught up in a constant struggle to somehow fulfill themselves despite the oppressive environment that seemed to silence their every attempt...

Joel McCrea is a frustrated architect who dreams of tearing down the slums and Sylvia Sidney portrays a shopgirl striving for identity and meaning in her life, a life made even more complicated by having to look after her brother (Billy Halop). The boy idolizes the decadent Bogart, an adulation shared by the rest of the Dead End Kids, here recreating their original Broadway roles with noisy good humor...

Opposing these idealists is their real threat, Bogart, a killer named Baby Face Martin... Bogart is impolitely rejected by a mother (Marjorie Main) who detests him and an ex-girl friend (Claire Trevor) who leaves him bitter and disillusioned when he discovers that she has become a prostitute...

Rebuked by those he had been sentimental enough to want to visit, he quickly reverts to prefigure and plans a kidnapping in order to rescue something from the consumed affair...

"Dead End" remains one of Bogart's best films, where the actor proves that he is capable of handling difficult material with considerable skill...

Also known by its alternate title City of the Dead, this 1960 horror thriller makes the most of its low-budget, studio-bound limitations to offer an abundance of eerie atmosphere frequently compared to the chilling horror stories of H.P. Lovecraft. Christopher Lee stars as the seemingly benevolent Professor Driscoll, who sends his eager student Nan (Venetia Stevenson) to the town of Whitewood, Massachussetts to research local legends of witchcraft. In a coincidental parallel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (which was released the same year), the young heroine is killed off early in the film when she is used as a human sacrifice by a present-day coven of witches led by Lee himself. (Talk about teacher's pet!) As it turns out, the entire town is overrun by monklike zombies who perform gruesome nocturnal rituals in the local graveyards. Nan's bereaved boyfriend struggles to eliminate this monstrous brood--at the cost of his life! Heavy on mood and light on plot, this is vintage horror for die-hard fans--perfect as a Halloween perennial. --Jeff Shannon

Description

"This classic of British horror has been painstakingly restored by VCI (with the cooperation of the British Film Institute) and is now complete and uncut; including more than 2 minutes of additional footage, which had been cut from the U.S. version, titled HORROR HOTEL. This also marks the first time ever this uncut version has been seen on video with its original title. THE CITY OF THE DEAD is an extraordinarily good chiller scripted by George Baxt, which still has the power to frighten fans of the horror genre." A college student, Nan Barlow is researching the history of witchcraft. Taunted by her brother and fiancé, who have voiced their concern over her silly notions, Nan arms herself with resolve and drives into the small New England village of Whitewood. She is glad that at least she was able to count on the support of her professor. A bit anxious but consumed with curiosity, she will soon embark herself on the journey of her life! Bonus Features: Original British Version with over 2 minutes of footage not found in the American HORROR HOTEL version, Feature length Commentary with actor Christopher Lee, 45-minute Interview with Christopher Lee, Interview with Venetia Stevenson, Interview and Commentary by Director John Moxey, Theatrical Trailer, Photo Gallery, Cast Bios, Anamorphic Widescreen Enhanced for 16x9 monitors Specs: DVD9; Dolby Digital Mono; 78 minutes; B&W; 1.66:1 Aspect Ratio; MPAA - NR; Year - 1960.

4 out of 5 stars "Burn, witch! Burn!".......2007-08-11

After suffering through bootleg copies of this film under the "Horror Hotel" title for years, this DVD was a welcome addition to my classic horror film libary. Now that a nearly-flawless print of the film is available, I hope it will start to get the attention it deserves.

City of the Dead was made during the horror revival that began in 1957 with Hammer's Curse of Frankenstein. This was a time when the creaky old horror formulas of Universal (don't get me wrong, I love 'em) were giving way to more graphic scares, as audiences began to expect to SEE more than what their imaginations could provide. Yet the film is something of an anomaly, in that it retains a gothic visual style without relying heavily on special effects.

Student Nan Barlow (then-newcomer Venetia Stevenson) is sent by her professor (Christopher Lee) to the New England town of Whitewood to research her paper on witchcraft. Local legend tells of a witch who was burned there in 1692. As Nan delves into the town's history, she encounters a host of diverse characters, many of whom seem to believe Whitewood is still under satanic influence. I don't want to give away one of the major plot points for those who haven't seen it, but let's just say the story takes a shocking left turn about midway through the film. Not everything is what it seems, and no one may be safe.

As for the disc itself, VCI is to be applauded for their efforts here. The film looks terrific, and even though the sound is mono, it's clear and uniform throughout. The interviews and commentary tracks are nice for fans of the film, but may come off a bit dry to casual viewers. Venitia Stevenson, in a 2001 interview, seems just a tad embarassed and/or mystified by the film's popularity. Lee, who pontficates at-length about his career, has the misfortune of being saddled with a rather irritating on-screen interviewer. The only other real problem, a common one with VCI, is that the menu takes a little getting used to.

After languishing in b-movie hell for decades, I think it's time City of the Dead was elevated to "classic" status. This fully-loaded--and attractively-priced--disc should go a long way towards that end.

5 out of 5 stars I have made my pact with thee O'lucifer, for all eternity.......2007-04-10

This film has a beginning very reminiscent of the opening sequence of Mario Bava's La Maschera del Demonio 1960.But since they were made at around the same time,it's probably just some weird unconcious global link between the two.The fascination of condeming witches seemed to be emerging worldwide in filmmakers at the time. The film has a beautiful Lovecraftian atmosphere, although has nothing to do with Lovecraft.
However has anyone noticed the weird near-anagram of Elizabeth SELWYN and Mrs NEWLESS? If you only change ONE letter to NEWLYS or add the extra 'S' for better pronunciation to NEWLYSS (the name is still contained).
Perhaps in the original script this was the original intention and somehow this idea got lost by the people who eventually did the titles.

5 out of 5 stars "Classic Horror without the gore".......2007-02-06

Another wonderful Christopher Lee horror film centered on witchery in New England. Very atmospheric, with a neat chilling musical theme that adds to the suspense. This film was made back in the early days of "Hammer" Studios when Mr. Lee was starting to appear in small budget horror from England. The story was centered on this little town in New England which housed a coven of witches. Back in the seventeen hundreds Elizabeth Selwin was burned at the stake, and she and her followers are re-incarnated into present day. Elizabeth runs a hotel whose customers check in and never check out.

You won't be disappointed if you like a scare particularly on a rainy night. It's filmed in Black and White which adds to the atmosphere. I don't think the film would be as good if it was in color.

It sures beats some of the present day horror in theatres today. Good story and well directed. You won't get bored with this one!

Be careful when it's the witching hour!

John

5 out of 5 stars The gift that keeps on giving.......2006-12-10

This came to me as a gift along with Carnival of Souls. I had seen this movie many years ago. It had seemed kind of hokey at the time, but now seeing it, this film seems much better. True, it is low budget, but it is sincere and the acting is pretty good. The ending was kind of a convenient ripoff way to resove the film, but the rest of it was pretty good. Each of the girls though should have taken the first clue when they picked the guy up on the road and he disapeared from the car without opening the door....duh! Christopher Lee is in this before he became an international star. Does he just get better and better or what? Along with Carnival of Souls, this is a can't miss CD for lovers of old classic horror movies.

Description

"WOE BE UNTO HIM WHO OPENS ONE OF THE SEVEN GATEWAYS TO HELL, BECAUSE THROUGH THAT GATEWAY, EVIL WILL INVADE THE WORLD."

The Seven Gates Of Hell have been torn open, and in three days the dead shall rise and walk the earth. As a reporter ( Christopher George of PIECES) and a psychic ( Catriona MacColl of THE BEYOND) race to close the portals of the damned, they encounter a seething nightmare of unspeakable evil. The city is alive - with the horrors of the living dead!

Directed and co-written by the legendary Lucio Fulci (ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND), CITY OF THE LIVIND DEAD features some of the maestro's most shocking and controversial sequences of all time. This is the definitive version of Fulci's hallucinogenic masterpiece of horror: uncut, uncensored and presented in all its brain-ripping, gut-spewing, head-drilling glory!

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars A tad disappointed.............2007-09-02

I love zombie movies. Don't get me wrong, I try to collect all of them. I took a chance on this one and bought it hoping it would be gory and good. It had gore in it, yes, BUT this movie reused the same way of killing someone over & over. I think if anything that is what bothered me most. Not that the zombies were " ghost ", or the fact that the story line bored me. But the way the zombies would grab someone by the back of the head, and squeeze their brains out. Cool as hell the first time, but got old after the fourth.

3 out of 5 stars This City is filled with trash.......But I love it!.......2007-08-29

I saw this back in 83 in a theater in Westfield{Rialto} and never laughed so hard. Its supposed to be set in Mass, but the accents are not new england. The dubbing is off and the screeching monkey in the background is a hoot!My favorite is the girl in the car who's eyes start bleeding and her insides some out through her mouth with a few belches.Lets face it folks any movie which has seven different titles to hide under is a classic! Christopher George seems to find these beautys to star in and may he rest in peace.I miss that man.The writer before me said it best about a classic gorefest.I love his other one too....Zombie.

2 out of 5 stars More Ghost than Zombie.......2007-08-20

I had heard a lot about this movie, but since Demons I've been quite cautious about Italian horror. This film only confirms that caution. I had heard that this movie was also H.P. Lovecraft influenced, but frankly I don't see it.
Yes, the film does take place in a town called Dunwich, but that is as close to Lovecraft as it ever gets. Yes, some of the zombie makeups are good, but the plot of the movie is stupid, the zombies pop in and out of existence like ghosts, the film is more silly supernatural than scary Romero.
Sorry, I still think Italian horror peaked with Barbara Steele and Mario Bava.

5 out of 5 stars One of my favorite Fulci flicks.......2007-07-14

I absolutely love this movie. For some reason I cant stop watching it, and constantly keeps making its way into my dvd player. Its a very colorful and a dark movie at the same time and the soundtrack is nothing short of amazing. The regurgitation of giblets scene is worth the price of the movie alone! Sure, there are not zombies running loose all over the place like "Dawn of the Dead" but there are a lot of other supernatural things going on(raining maggots, deadly flying glass, giblets scene, ect.) and one of the coolest death scenes has nothing to do with zombies(drill scene) , if you go into it expecting zombie-o-rama you might be a bit disappointed but if you go into it just looking for a dark, creepy gore-fest you will love this flick. Without a doubt in my top five Fulci movies.LONG LIVE HORROR, LONG LIVE FULCI.

4 out of 5 stars ACK! RATS ARE EATING MY FACE!..........2007-06-06

CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD stars Christopher George (Pieces, Grizzly, Day Of The Animals, Graduation Day) and Catriona MacColl (The Beyond) as a reporter and a psychic on their way to the town of Dunwich. They must get there in order to stop the evil that is manifesting itself. You see, animated corpses are walking around and squeezing people's brains out! The townfolk are also being killed off by a demonic priest from beyond the grave, who can make blood run from his victim's eyes just by looking at them! He can also cause his prey to vomit up their own entrails! Can his reign of terror be thwarted? Lucio Fulci continues his wonderfully wicked zombie-cycle without remorse! COTLD fits in perfectly w/ ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND, and HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY. Watch out for the head-drilling, cranium-crushing, and intestine-ejection scenes! Yeech! The building dread is heavy and nasty. Another Fulci classic...

    Description

The Seven Gates of Hell have been torn open, and in three days the dead shall rise and walk the earth. As a reporter (Christopher George) and a psychic (Catriona MacColl) race to close the portals of the damned, they encounter a seething nightmare of unspeakable evil. The city is alive--with the horrors of the living dead! Directed and co-written by the legendary Lucio Fulci (Zombie, The Beyond, The New York Ripper), "City of the Living Dead" features some of the maestro's most shocking and controversial sequences of all time. This is the definitive version of Fulci's hallucinogenic masterpiece of horror: uncut, uncensored and presented in all its brain-ripping, gut-spewing, head-drilling glory! A.k.a. "The Gates of Hell."

5 out of 5 stars Awsome Lucio Fulci flick!.......2007-07-26

This is my first flick to see by the master of gore and terror, Lucio Fulci, and I was not disappointed! I remember my mother telling me that my Aunt watched this and she had to go throw up on the porch outside because of the graphic visuals this movie throws at the viewer. It's sort of ironic, because in the film a girl vomits up her insides, and the movie itself causes someone to throw up for real...spooky! This movie has plenty of atmosphere and and a satisfying sense of dread, and the musical score is hypnotic and pleasing. I will definitely be checking out other Lucio terrors!

3 out of 5 stars 3.5 Classic Gore, Stupefying Story and Acting.......2007-05-28

So much of this movie is literally amazing in its slipshod attempt at structure. And I mean that in the "bad" way. Whole elements of the plot are seemingly Frankenstein-ed together, the acting is the worse of Fulci's films (which is saying alot, see "The Beyond"), and there's not a single chatacter worth caring about, let alone "liking" or sympathizing with.

However, the classic gore effects are worth it by far. Anyone "into" gore effects which offended the hell out of late-seventies/early eighties moms NEEDS this film. Anyone expecting something along the lines of Romero (or even Fulci's "Zombie" or "Beyond") will be disappointed. You were warned.

However, this is mandatory for gore completists as a RULE.

4 out of 5 stars The gates of hell........2007-03-31

This is a brilliant film from Lucio Fulci that has a ton of gore and violence, if your looking for a proper storyline with some good acting and some nicely shot sequences then forget it. The makeup on the zombies was slightly dissapointing and it looks like a bunch of dirt and slime was rubbed on their faces which looks disgusting and the editing was bad otherwise this film was very cool and had some of the best gore scenes I have seen so far. If you like cheesy Italian gore flicks then your going to love this, the atmosphere was very dark and worked very well with the rest of the film along with the music which was very creepy I also felt like the characters were going to be doomed and it didn't seem like they could escape since the zombies could appear at any time out of thin air which was great and unintentionally hilarious, only Lucio Fulci could make a film like this. The film was about a young female psychic (Catriona Macol) who goes into a trance in New York on the day a priest commits suicide by hanging himself in the town of Dunwich, she has a vision of his death thus reviving an ancient story of the satanic powers of evil which involves the dead coming back to life. As the story continues the plot gets thinner but thats not important since the death scenes were terrific like the scene where the kid gets his head drilled into and the girl who vomits out her guts and bleeds from her eyes, make sure that you don't eat while watching this and that you have a strong stomach. Even though it wasn't as good as Zombie 2 or The beyond its still considered a cult classic gore flick from Italy and was great, if your a true horror fan then you should obviously add this to your collection. I highly recommend this enjoyable film and two thumbs up!.

    4 out of 5 stars Lucio Fulci.......2007-03-09

for all you Lucio Fulci haters this guy was a director way back in the 1950's. So don't compare Lucio Fulci to the director George Romero. Lucio was most popular for his horror grindhouse movies like The Beyond, House By the Cementary, A Cat in the Brain, A Lizard in a Women's Skin, House of Clocks, the New York Ripper, Don't Torture a Duckling, The Psychic, City of the Living Dead, and Zombie, etc. What people don't know is that he directed well over 50 movies. He directed comedy, Italian westerns, dramas, trillers, giallos, and of course horror movies. So don't even compare Lucio Fulci to George Romero because George is nothing compared to Lucio. George always directs some type of zombie horror movie and hardly anything else. Also, Italian movies back in the day don't rely on plot when directing a movie. Asian movies are like that too. Americans need to go educate themselves before dissing foreign films as this or that. Please know something before you criticize something. It will make the world a much better place.

3 out of 5 stars 5 stars for the gore, 3 for the plot and 1.5 for the zombies!.......2007-01-17

This is more of a comment than a review, something I never do but I honestly don't feel like typing too much as this film can defined in a very simple manner. Gore, there's tons of it, great work by the godfather of gore Lucio Fulci. The atmosphere was perfect for the film's setting, but it fails by a canyon of an ammount when compared to The Beyond & Zombie. The problem was there weren't enough zombies in this movie to satisfy me as a huge zombie fan. When I watched it I expected alot more from Fulci, but I guess you can't get it right all the time. It's overated as far as so many people wearing t-shirts of the film, when Zombie & The Beyond are much better, but it's a classic when it comes to gore & scenery. If you're a big fan of gore this is a must watch. if you're a zombie fan, you can either pass it, or watch it and be mildly entertained.

3 out of 5 stars Bringing Out the Dead.......2007-02-03
