Night of the Demons .......2007-09-13
This movie was creepy!
Imagine going down to an old, condemned, abandoned mansion/funeral parlor with an unblessed graveyard falling apart for a backyard that had been occupied by a canimbal family who devoured the dearly deceased who was supposed to have been buried in peace.
Imagine actually having a party there, especially on Halloween Night?!
Angela franklin and her best friend in pink only wanted to have, the thrill of having a party on Halloween Night, having a real seance, and scaring the living daylights out of the guests that had there.
Angela hadn't planned on becoming a demon however that's what happened because one of the demons had gone through Angela's best friend who then past it on to Angela, who then passed it to let wart hog, who then passed it on to those dimwits in the coffin.
Angela had also passed it on to Micheal.
Angela's best friend had also passed it to that jerk off jock strap eater.
Those 2 store keepers were demented geeks.
The movie ending didn't make sense because it had nothing to do with Hull House.
The ending shouldv'e been the demons leaving the bodies of those teenagers, leaving them in a bloody mess, Angela waking up and look down at every one of them and then smiling her demonic smile in her human form because she became a demon.
Classic fun.......2007-08-30
Wacky EVIL DEAD type rip w/ gore and excess nudity. Not as good as when I watched it on cable as a kid, but still essential 80's horror and a fun way to waste a boring evening. Not recomended for those who take themselves too seriously.
The Party's just begun!.......2007-07-27
Angela (Amelia Kinkade) has invited her friends to have a halloween bash at an old abanoned funeral parlor for a night of fun. Unknown to them, it's built on a ancient evil patch of land and unleashes a horrible curse as it transforms each of the teens into demons and one of them has protect themself from becoming a demon and battle the creatures through the night then must escape.
An outstanding cult horror comedy 80's classic that was an unexpected sleeper hit when it hit theaters in 1988 and become a horror fan's dream come true that year with some good reviews especially from variety. The make-up effects by Steve Johnson ("Ghostbusters", "Big Trouble in Little China", "Species") are terrific in these CGI times especially on Angela, b-movie fans will recongize Linnea Quigley in this movie who does a memorable moment you have to see to believe, it's an excellent combo of horror, graphic splatter and off the wall humor in this winner of a horror movie and perfect for halloween time.
This special edition DVD has good picture and sound with some cool extras like audio commentary, a featurette, trailers, TV Spots and Promo Reel.

Angel's Halloween bash.......2007-03-28
OK, so the plot isn't the most original in the world, a kind of "The Amityville Horror" by way of Freddy Krueger-ish wise cracking demon monsters. "Night of the Demons" is about a bunch of likeable (but to the slasher standard unremarkable) stereotypical kids who decide to have a party in an old funeral home. After dancing and drinking for awhile they think it would be fun to have a séance and accidentally unleash the spirits that have lain dormant in the house for so long.
I will be the first to admit there a few logic problems with this movie, the biggest question was how did the monsters become bound to that house in the first place? They aren't ghosts, which would sort of make sense because it's a funeral home, but demons. How did the kids find out about the place? And dose anyone notice that nymphomaniac Suzanne (Linnea Quigley) is quiet a bit older than the other kids (though she's pretty hot in her costume). The acting is pretty atrocious, but what do you expect? The only stand out is Quigley, who was the 1980s reigning scream queen, and shows us things she can do with a tube of lipstick that are pretty wild. Even she is not very convincing.
OK, so far I have been pretty hard on the movie, but there is plenty good about it too. As I said before the kids, while not original, are pretty likable, especially Angela; well, at first anyway. It's the film's sense of humor that's it's redeeming quality. At that time horror movies were taking themselves pretty seriously (despite what you may think), and the script felt pretty light on it's feet. I first saw this movie when I was pretty young, and it scared me to death back then. It is much cornier now, but some of the disturbing images stayed with me for a long time. The gore was pretty impressive too, and that was the selling point to me for this movie. The editing was lean and sharp, and the set design was impressive considering how little money they had to work with.
Pretty good for a Halloween party movie, just don't invite the girl with the lipstick.

Night of the Demons 2.......2007-09-13
I'm so glad this second part is finally released on dvd.
It didn't make sense that the first part and the 3rd were released without the second part.
I hope there's special features in this dvd movie, such as cast interviews, cast biography, original trailer, and footage of the movie premier.
The perverted nudity can and should be skipped with the dvd remote.
Amelia Kinkade's dancing was much more better in this sequel than the first. There was heavy metal music in this second part, unlike the first part. Speaking of heavy metal, Amelia Kinkade was in the German heavy metal band Scorpians 1988 Rhythem of Love music video.
She was that red head dressed in that Ivory outfit.
You can see it on www.youtube.com
There were good looking guys, too bad there weren't any glam metal rocker type of guys in this movie.
This movie shouldv'e featured past scenes of what Angela Franklin was like in high school, the way teachers were in disbelief over her witchy way of style, the way those wannabe VO5 cut out bimbette IN-CROWD popular girls mocked and ridiculed Angela for her unique style and the way Angela dismissed them as nothing. The way Angela and her bestfriend were when they socialized in school, the way guys who were only interested in excelling school and listening to rock n roll noticed her.
I ordered this movie yesterday, just before Halloween, can't wait!
Far better than the other two.......2007-08-18
I'm so glad they've decided to release this one on DVD. Part I was wack, I bought it in lieu of the second one. Part III was horrible except for the line "Happy Halloweeen Bitch", and Part 2 is the one I keep coming back to over and over again! It has excellent "comic effect", an all star cast, and just enough T&A for us old-fashioned horror fans.
I can't wait until it's released...a return to early 90's smutty horror!!
Night Of The Demons 2 Review.......2007-07-23
I'm really glad that Lions Gate Films is releasing Night of the Demons 2 on DVD. Anchor Bay released the first one, and Seville released the third one. Which Seville is a Canadian release, because Night Of the Demons 3 was Canadian made. Hopefully since the second one is being released in USA the third one will get a better DVD release either by Lions Gate Films or Anchor Bay. I will give my DVD review when this DVD is in my hands. I rate the film a four, because nothing out rates the first film. This DVD better have a descent selection of special features aswell. Scene Selection is NOT!!!! a special feature people, you have to have that to release a DVD!

After establishing his signature style with such moody classics as Cat People and I Walked with a Zombie, Jacques Tourneur returned to peak form with the first-rate supernatural thriller Curse of the Demon. It's a horror-noir set in England, adapted from the M.R. James story "Casting the Runes" and built around the ominous notion that black arts--particularly the use of ancient runic symbols--can summon a deadly beast from hell. Dana Andrews is the stubborn American skeptic, determined to debunk a genteel occultist (Niall MacGinnis) whose evil powers are ultimately incontestable. The briefly seen demon may be cheesy by latter-day standards, but its nightmarish appearance--and Tourneur's masterful use of subtle suggestion, threatening atmosphere, and eerie special effects--make Curse of the Demon one of the best horror films of the 1950s. This splendid DVD offers the longer British version Night of the Demon for film-buff comparison; it's essentially the same film with a few extended scenes. Both are highly recommended. --Jeff Shannon

top ten horror classic .......2007-08-26
This film not only stands the test of time it transends most withcraft films (exception haxan ). Dana Andrews plays a doctor trying to disprove black magic and the supernatural in the modern world.
During a trip to England for a symposium on debunking such myths he crosses paths with Julian Carswell (played superbly by the underrated Nial Mc Guiness ). Carswell tries to disway the doctor from the scrutiny placed on Carswell and the devil worship cult he leads .
A curse is placed on Andrews and he is given two weeks till a demon from hell with kill him . The story then begins to take Andrews down a dark path where science and reason dont stand a chance .
Slowly the good doctor realizes that he is doomed and that only Carswell himself can spare him a horrifying fate .
This film is without a doubt one of the greatest horror films ever made and a must in every horror fans colection . A MUST IF YOU DONT OWN IT BUY THIS TODAY !!!!!!
A classic chiller.......2007-08-17
Night of the Demon/Curse of the Demon is one of the greatest films of the 1950's. A cult classic that holds up to repeated viewings. The film is based on the M R James story 'Cast the Runes' and features Dana Andrews as John Holden, a sceptical psychologist who scepticism begins to ebb away after he meets Dr Julian Karswell.
Karswell is played brilliantly by Niall MacGinnis and there are a number of marvellous scenes between Holden and Karswell. Perhaps the best being a scene in the London Library. Of the remaining cast Maurice Denham is deserving of mention for his small but crucial role at the start as Professor Harrington. There is a marvellous scene at the beginning of the film when Harrington visits Karswell. Its beautifully written and played by the two actors.
Although it is often quoted that the director Jacques Tournier did not want the Demon shown in the film at all, but bowed to pressure from the producers, the Demon when it appears is a remarkable special effects creation for 1957. Tournier was probably right but it doesn't spoil the film that much.
This double bill DVD version contains two different versions: The American cut called 'Curse of the Demon' which ran to 82mins and the British cut 'Night of the Demon' which ran to 95mins. Both are very good but the longer version is the better. This is a film that improves with every viewing.
The best made horror/mystery ever!!!!!!!!!.......2007-08-15
Don't be fooled by the title. This movie has it's horror moments
but it's a great mystery movie. The opening with the demon in the
smoke is awesome. Dana Andrews is great as the skeptical doctor
but Nalls McGuiness makes the movie as the mild but evil devil
master. The scene with Andrews in the woods with the smoke chasing
him is outstanding. Finally the ending with the beast destroying
McGuiness is unforgettable. Highly recommended.
Great Film!.......2007-08-08
I have loved horror films ever since I was a small child. I was always sneaking downstairs on a Friday or Saturday night after my folks had gone to bed to get the crap scared out of me. Three films have stayed with me to this day and I am 50yrs old. "The Innocents", "The Haunting" and "Curse of the Demon". All three are just about as creepy as you can get, And far scarier than the gore-fests they seem to make now. Filmed in black and white and with minimal special effects and not a drop of blood, I was never more scared by anything in my life! I saw the extended version "Night of the Demon" and it is by far the better of the two. Not being much of a film expert I was unaware that there were two versions. I just thought that it had been cut up for TV, like they do. But they are all great and all three still give me the willies. And for those of you who are familiar with The Haunting, how long was it before you were able to sleep with your hands out from under the covers?!
Excellent DVD.......2007-07-13
This is a very suspenseful story. Although I have viewed it multiple times it still keeps me on the edge of my seat. In addition the quality of the film is superb.

Night of the Demons 3.......2007-09-14
This 3rd part was depressing!
It was depressing because it was centered around ne'er do wells who had nothing going for themselves, who never amounted to anything even though they had opportunities to.
I can't believe Abby thought Vince was hot, he was such a psychotic, antisocial sociopath who didn't respect anyone.
Vince's girlfriend Lois was also psychotic and antisocial, only difference was she was a complete psychopath.
The living room of Hull House was made to look like an everyday living household, the rest of the home was exactly as it was in parts 1 and 2.
It wouldv'e made a difference if Angela made them into demons or not because they were just plain pathetic and besides Vince and his gal Lois were both demons any ways.
This 3rd came too late and shouldn't have arrived at all!
This house isn't haunted . . . IT's POSSESSED ! ! ! ! .......2006-05-22
Okay, we all know the first movie is perfect in every detail. This one seems obsessed with redeeming the failures of the second film. (The nun lives?!!! Aaargh!!!!!) My only complaint about this little "romp" is that they couldn't use the original Hull House location. But as usual, Amelia Kincade is the sexiest creature alive. The story is really pretty cool and since this came out in the dark abyss of the age of crappy horror movies, Scream- era garbage, I want to puke every time I hear anyone complain about this installment. The demons are just different enough to breathe 'fresh?' air into an old favorite without losing the intent of the original film. The characters once again are all hateable, which of course makes you anticipate them dying and converting to likable non-human entities!!!! Hee- hee. This is why I don't understand the amount of survivors in part 2. The original is so dark and evil, nothing can recapture it, but this is very good at reminding you of the ancient one and also making fun of the trends of today. I won't give away any surprises but I'll say the Angela's character takes on a deeper role as "Satans Favorite Sex Toy" she uses her ability to appear human to manipulate these idiots into selling their souls and let's just say that everyone gets whatever it is that they dare wish for ! ! ! There is a great scene where Angela uses her "gifts" to disarm a frustrated gun-toting teen that is absolutly NOT TO BE MISSED ! ! ! Maybe I like these movies way too much but who cares, I just wish that these things happened to obnoxious people in real life so I wouldn't have to live vicariously through repeated viewings of Night of the Demons Parts 1 and 3. ( A couple of scenes from part 2.) Sorry no pathetic attempts at a "who's the killer" suspense crap-o-rama with way too much dialogue just the good ol' 3 staples of horror Blood, nudity and best of all Violence ! ! ! Though I do miss the great score of the 1st, this movie proves that as long you have Amelia Kincade and the 3 above mentioned elements the rest will work itself out ! BUY THIS MOVIE ! ! ! !! ! ! !
BUY IT ! BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT ! BUY IT ! BUY IT ! BUY IT ! !! !! ! !! THE FINAL SCORE - DEMONS 3 & HUMANS 0 ! DON'T FORGET ! ! ! !
Third Time Around Not As Charming..........2005-11-14
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS was a very entertaining little shocker. The sequel to it lacked some punch, and seemed more geared towards sex than anything to do with demons. The third film, NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 3, lacks the power of the first film and the slight mix of humor, sex, and scares of the second film. While by no means a failure, NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 3 isn't as strong a flick, so you're going to be left disappointed but at the same time entertained. The same theme occurs here as a group of teens ends up in a house they should have never gone to in the first place, and after a shoot out at a convenience store, they hide out in this house and they're not only being pursued by law enforcement, but they're also being pursued by demons. The hijinks in this movie aren't as scary, and you're more apt to laugh than shriek. This movie definitely has some good moments in it, and Amelia Kinkade is still charming as Angela (she was better in the first and second). The ending was cheesy too, so you're more likely to shrug your shoulders after watching this very cheesy but still mildly entertaining movie.
The info on this release.......2005-08-30
Some of you may wonder what's up with this release of Night of The Demons 3. Well this release is the Canadian release of the film. Since this is a Canadian made film and would be more popular there it was released in Canada but, was never released in the United States. Don't get me wrong this is by no means a bootleg. It is an official release of the film. It is unfortunatly bare bones. The film normally goes anywhere from 10-15 dollars. Other movies that were released in canada but not in the U.S. are: Prom Night 2 & the collector's Edition of Ginger Snaps.
a mysterious release of Night of the Demons 3.......2005-07-19
so, where exactly did this release come from and go to since the release of Night of the Demons 1? Well, I risked it and ordered a copy from amazon marketplace since it's no longer available from Amazon, fearing I'd be getting some sort of bootleg or the PAL version. But it is indeed an NTSC version put out by a company called Seville. Of course you're getting the barebones here. It's full screen. It's mono. But it does have a standard plastic CD case and very clean artwork, a menu, and English or French language options. The film itself doesn't look so bad. It doesn't look as if it were transfered from a video cassette, it's actually slightly cleaner than that. It does have a sort of "digital" feel to it, as if it were perhaps cleaned up with a computer program so it wouldn't look like a bad transfer. But overall, if all you've got is an original VHS tape, you're taking a slight step up with this release. Let's hope 2&3 come out in tighter versions somewhere down the road.
Customer Reviews:
Pshhhh.......2006-01-28
Wow, I never even thought it would come out to be 2 more sequels, all Demons movies sucked, the only reason I watched the first and second one was the two female kissing parts, awsome stuff, but other then that, the story was lame, and the acting was a total joke. The third was just a total shame, shouldnt even have made it past the editors, it was ridiculously lame, and should have been burned. Take my advice, look away from all Demons films, there just all crap.
SO FAR NOT THAT REALLY GOOD.......2005-04-28
I MUST SAY I DIDN'T WELL LIKE THIS MOVIE AT ALL NOR THE SECOND ONE, I STILL SAY THE ONLY ONE THAT REALLY MADE A HIT WAS THE FIRST ONE..THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT SOME TEENAGERS WHO GOT INVOLVED IN A SHOOT OUT AND THEY ARE RUNNING FROM THE LAW, SO THEY DECIDE TO HIDE ON HULL HOUSE, WHICH ANOTHER THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THAT THIS HULL HOUSE IS NOTHING COMPARE TO THE FIRST ONE...IT'S TOTALLY DIFFERENT HOUSE AND NOT SCARY AT ALL, I MUST SAY THEY DID INCLUDE SOME SCENCES FROM THE FIRST MOVIE...ANYWAYS, IT'S A REALLY BORING MOVIE, DON'T GO OUT AND BUY IT, IF YOU WANT JUST RENT IT...I STILL SAY NIGHT OF THE DEMONS THE FIRST PART WAS MUCH MORE WAY BETTER THAN THIS ONE AND THE SECOND ONE.....
Better than I thought it was going to be..........2005-01-27
I bought the Night Of The Demons 3 DVD just to see a couple of ex-You Can't Do That On Television stars (Christian Tessier and Stephanie Bauder) on the big screen. Tessier is great in a post-YCDTOTV yet pre-Battlefield Earth role, and Bauder is charming as ever.
The horror movie they are acting in is pretty run-of-the-mill, but it was actually more engrossing than I thought it would be. I watched this on Halloween with a few friends and it was a serviceable movie. We made fun of a few things (the production budget needed to be at least two times higher to really pull off some of the rather ambitious effects), but we all had a good time. The scene with the cop questioning the convenience store clerk about the missing money is hilarious..."pick a card"...
Anyway, I haven't seen part one or part two, but buy Night Of The Demons 3 if you are a fan of low-budget horror, or a fan of You Can't Do That On Television. The price is right for this disc, and you might even enjoy the movie despite its shortcomings.
Why no sequel? :)
What the HELL is going on here?.......2004-11-02
Being a huge fan of the first two n.o.t.d, i must say that this one just made me sick to my stomach...and not in a scared way but in a "how more stupid can this movie be!" way!
Many things that you'll expect to see in this movie, a canadian production with montreal actors that never practiced the actual art of acting, terrible special effects, the longest opening credit sequence before the movie starts, bad choice of location..especially the "new" hull house in the film, totally different from the original, and of course the ending, whoooowww so scarrrryyy, WILL THERE BE NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 4?
I think that after watching this movie for yourself, you'll understand why they didn't make another part 4.
Thanks to the producers of this film for screwing it all up for us fans!
Night of the Demons 3 REVIEW.......2003-10-10
Second sequel to "Night Of The Demons" is silly in an entertaining way. Two cast members of the classic Canadian kids' show, "You Can't Do That On Television", Stephanie Bauder and Christian Tessier play members of a group of kids who visit a haunted house on Halloween after getting caught up in a bloody liquor store robbery. The plot is full of holes and there is plenty of non-stop gore so if this type of thing pleases you, knock yourself out.
