Time Changer may be a little strident in its core message (i.e., ethics don't count unless they're backed by the force of Christ), but as an above-average feature for the Christian market, it's pretty agreeable. D. David Morin stars as a late-19th-century Bible professor named Carlisle, whose efforts to publish a book arguing that morals can be taught independent of Christ's teachings is denounced by one Dr. Anderson (Gavin Macleod), a board member at Carlisle's seminary. Anderson, who happens to be in possession of a time machine, sends Carlisle to the year 2001, where the latter quickly discovers the pitfalls of a secular world with relative morality and no absolute (i.e., Christian) standards. Time Changer's seasoned supporting cast, including Paul Rodriguez, Jennifer O'Neill, and Hal Linden, bring a professional gloss to the film that helps counter its thematic single-mindedness, while director Rich Christiano serves up some passable science fiction to go with all the preaching. --Tom Keogh

Product Description

The year is 1890 and Bible Professor Russell Carlisle has written a new manuscript. His book is about to receive an unanimous endorsement from the board members at Grace Bible Seminary until his colleague, Dr. Norris Anderson, has a "difficulty with something." Dr. Anderson believes what Carlisle has written could greatly affect future generations. Using a secret time machine, Anderson sends Carlisle over 100 years into the future, offering him a glimpse of where his beliefs will lead.

5 out of 5 stars God's Commands are Important.......2007-07-27

Living in a culture where many do, believe and act as is right in their own eyes, without a plumbline for truth leads to chaos.

TIMECHANGERS directs us to THE truth of God's word and applying it to our lives--wholly and practically.

A triumph for the Scriptures and an encouragement to WHY we must walk uprightly.

3 out of 5 stars Simply but powerful.......2007-06-27

This was obviously a low-budget film but it delivers a powerful punch! The message of the film wasn't clouded over or shrouded behind double-talk. It makes the viewer think a lot about issues that Christian's and non-believers alike should be very concerned with. It would be a great film for youth groups to watch to stir conversation.

A great Christian movie! It had a lot of excitement. Good Actors and a good story. It was one of my favorite movies ever! Hope you like it too.

Well, it was a cool movie with alot of Christian stuff at the same time. I liked the movie because it had a good story with good special effects. Kids and grown ups will like it.

5 out of 5 stars my first Christian movie.......2007-04-08

I didn't really want to do the Left Behind route... I wanted a clean movie that wasn't a documentary or something that was extremely end times... I had read many of the Left Behind series and I just wanted to stay away from it. Time Changer reminded me a lot of Back to the Future, so I didn't know if that would be a good or a bad thing bc my husband loved Back to the Future (although I can't stand it) so I didn't know if maybe this one would be too similar. It wasn't, we both loved it and loved how it was so clean. It was a real treat.

I can not remember the last time I could not finish watching a movie becuase it was so boring and slow paced. Sadly, I wasted 45 minutes of my life that I can't get back. I am so glad I only rented it. If you are thinking of watching this, why not just buy a can of paint, paint something, and watch it dry? That would be just as entertaining, and you would have done something productive with some of your time.

4 out of 5 stars More campy and obsurd fun from Monumental Pictures!.......2005-12-08

This is just as much if not more fun then Imprudence. I think this one has better funny acting and more cool editing, but I think Imprudence is still a shining movie title in their library. This one has some really cool stuff, they blow things up and stick golf clubs in aliens eyes and shoot military soldiers, but the best part is when a female alien lays eggs in a large tank. It's so absurd you can't help but have such a fun time watching it. The gore is good too, but most of all the pacing is the best, it goes through so fast, you can't beleive that 80 minutes have passed. Great no budget fun!

5 out of 5 stars Imprudence is better.......2005-04-24

I love this film, i think Fitzpatrick is one of the greatest up and coming directors right now, but ive gotta say i think imprudence is better. It has a better plot and more interesting characters. The Changers is awesome, and it has some amazing action sequences and scenes, and the characters are fun, and i had a great time viewing, but when it comes down to comparing the two, Imprudence is better, hands down. Imprudence may be cheasy, but i like it alot more.

5 out of 5 stars The Changers Rules.......2005-01-06

who in the hell recomended imprudence instead of The Changers. I am going to start this review by recomending The Changers 5 times instead of Imprudence. Imprudence is good, but The Changers is a freaking fun and a great campy movie. Its hilarious, and it also has good effects (for 250 dollars) and some good scares. If you like horror films and cheasy movies or are just looking to have some fun while drinking with the guys, this is the flick to pick.

5 out of 5 stars HOLY CRAP!.......2004-11-01

whoa this movie kicked some major(...), i wasnt expecting it to be this good, but it was GREAT!! it was so freaking funny they way they acted, and there were some really good scares too! if there is one independent movie you see this year, make this the ONE!!!! 5 stars!!! get it NOW!!
