Description
Sinking its teeth into the rotting flesh of our paranoid times, Feeding the Masses is a biting social commentary and a vicious, brutal and apocalyptic zombie film directed by Richard Griffin and written by Trent Haaga (American Nightmare, Citizen Toxie IV).
In a nation dominated by mass media manipulation, rampant consumerism and a brainwashing government, a zombie epidemic known as the Lazarus Virus is bringing the recently deceased back to life. As the dead feed upon the living, Channel 5 TV News feeds its audience a false picture of the danger, death and doom that is close at hand. The station's lead anchorwoman learns of a government-mandated broadcast blackout of all walking dead news and live footage, so she enlists the help of her trusted cameraman and a demented military guard to spread the word any way they can. With the truth on their side and flesh-hungry monsters gathering in numbers and strength, the trio must warn unsuspecting citizens about the nightmare at their doorsteps
before it's too late. News at 11

If you see this movie run...run fast and hard and never look back!.......2007-08-14
My wife and I were looking for a zombie movie at Hollywood Video one night and we figured any zombie movie would do. We had not yet been disappointed by a zombie movie and thought we never would be. I even expressed that out loud right before we watched this film.
Ohhoho! I spoke to soon. I won't even bother reviewing the plot, cinematography, acting, score, or anything else that goes into making a film. I will just tell you that should you see this film at a rental place run fast, run hard, move out of the very state where you laid eyes on it, just make sure you get far, far away!
Try renting Undead instead. That's a great zombie film which was made on (what I'm guessing to be) a similar budget but with a little something called talent.
Heck of a good job!.......2006-12-30
Ok, yes this is not the "BEST" zombie movie ever..but I gotta give them applause because they did something never done before. The stort line was original as much as it could be with zombies. It made me laugh, it has these commericals in the movie that are great. If your looking for scary this may not be it, but if your looking for new and fun this is a good choice. Great job all who worked on this film, take more risks!
Dont be fooled...GREAT B MOVIE!!!.......2006-03-21
This one I really enjoyed. It takes a new perspective on zombie horror, not seen before. What if zombie invasion started in a small US state...say Rhode Island? Would the individual state's government try to cover it up? I was shocked at how much thought went into such a low budget film. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE LOW RATING....THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST B MOVIES IVE SEEN. By far the best B Zombie movie out there, but only for fans of the living-dead genre. Do yourself a favor and pick this up.
Be afraid, be very afraid...........2006-03-07
I have never written a review before (and probably won't again) but I was so appalled by this waste of a perfectly good camcorder, that I had to warn others who might be sucked in by the sacrilegious "testimonial" on the box comparing this to Romero's flicks. As a zombie-phile, I'll sit through almost any zombie flick....within reason. However, I tried to sit through dog several times but never made it past the first hour. This trash smacks of being written by a couple of twelve year olds who got into their parents liquor cabinet. The "actors" appear to have been involved in dinner theater....as waiters, and the dialogue is more hackneyed than a Michael Bolton love song. The only horror here is that you'll never get back the 90 minutes of your life that you wasted watching this. The social commentary on the media is as subtle as a Doc Maarten to the groin. If you have sinned greatly and need to do penance, watch this film or if you have really sinned greatly, do what I unfortunately did and buy this film.
Missed opportunity!.......2006-02-28
This is just about the lowest budgeted movie I have ever seen. Bad acting, mostly dull dialogue and terrible sfx. The soundtrack was not too bad in comparison and it was used fairly within the context of the movie. However the message delivered by this film is very real and a serious issue in today's media controlled society. I really would like to see a serious higher budget remake of this movie and I believe that it would be a hit. Overall: MEDIOCRE!
