Not even worth one star.......2007-06-16
I don't really have anything new to add except that the cover suggestively states "In the tradition of Tod Browning's FREAKS" - This movie is a far cry from being in the tradition of anything even remotely considered decent horror. It's a rip off of FREAKS - and a crappy one at that. Not only does this movie rip off the original, but the plot eventually weaves its way into something oddly similar to an episode from the first season of CARNIVALE. Finally, there is an echo of FIRECRACKER in this whole debacle (which wasn't the greatest of movies but it was much better than FREAKSHOW). I couldn't even begin to place the decade this was supposed to have taken place. The back of the DVD reads "'The most horrifying film' of this century!" - quite funny considering only half of that sentence is in quotes. So, when mixed with the horrible performances, the horrid rip offs, the badly timed, oft thrown in sex scenes and the joltiness of what some would call a plot, this movie is not worth any one's time - not the horror/freakshow aficionado, not even the cheesey horror fans.

Basically a rehash of the original (and classic) film FREAKS Freaks only with quite a bit more gore, poor acting and less style. If you are in the mood for this kind of a film and don't like gratuitous gore check out the original and leave this one alone.

Follows the Todd Browning plot line...but not the care and tastefullness he had used. The circus people aren't really in this very much, just briefly here and there. Contains alot of unneeded gore.

I Wish I Could Rate With NEGATIVE Stars!.......2007-04-24
HORRIBLE! And I don't mean that in a good way! I swear, the only reason this movie was banned is because no other country could bring themselves to subject their population to such awfulness! The best part of the movie is the preview...You want the gore? Watch the preview; you're wasting your time if you watch the whole movie...I think even Despiser was better than this and Despiser was HORRID! At least Despiser was laughable...This makes you wonder why you watched the whole movie instead of banging your head into a wall for 60+ minutes.
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME TOTAL GARBAGE .......2007-04-13
I am a fan of the original Freaks. This movie is grade Z garbage. It is a total snooze fest until the gross-out ending which is not even as bad as the description would lead you to believe. The whole thing feels like a really bad porn movie with totally cardboard performances. The ending which could be really horrorific is ruined because the victim is barely reacting to the nasty torturous revenge that is bestrode upon her. One of the worst movies I have ever seen and I've seen a lot!

This one was alright, it had a few good moments, u can expect the same type of content as the rest of the freak shows, I've always dug the freak show series. Vol.3 is much much better. I've seen something on that vol that i haven't seen on any other.

i'll never buy luke's freakshow's dvd. i bought 2 at the same time and i was a fool one. don't spend your money on this not worth anything.

Good Fun Movie - Great Carny Feel.......2004-07-30
While some of the sequences in this film are lacking in production values, it's great to see a horror film based on the carny lot. As being an ex-worker of a sideshow myself, the things Gunnar Hansen says in the film are very true to form. It's a fun story and a decent flick. I personally LOVE the low budget horror films and this one rates very high in my book! Give it a try. You won't be dissapointed.
Those Wacky Carny Freak Shows!.......2002-10-05
"Freakshow" is an extremely low budget film that I believe was actually shot on video. It is set in the style of the old Amicus Studios anthology horror shows like "Tales From the Crypt" in that it presents four short films with a wraparound story. The main issue then is if each individual story is any good. Sadly, "Freakshow" is very uneven in this regard. The majority of the stories are unlikely to provide any scares or shocks and the acting is what could be expected from a film with no budget. I did enjoy parts of the film as the subjects dealt with are truly disturbing and some of the "gore" effects are good. The main problem with "Freakshow" is that it offers nothing that we have not seen countless other times and it presents what it has with no flair or imagination. It was nice to see Gunnar Hansen from TCM fame in the film but his role is small and demonstrates why Leatherface had no speaking lines. The DVD is very pedestrian in its presentation, looking as if it is a direct master from a VHS copy. The extras are not worth mentioning unless one considers "DVD Credits" and "Chapter Stops" as bonus features. That said, if you can find this DVD for under ... dollars, as I did, buy it as a second feature for your DVD horror night.

this one is better than the rest.. it starts off a little fruity at first, i wasn't feeling it at all, but than when they went into the vip room, it got buck wild. They usually show oral and toys, but this one was all out. The got it down in the vip if u know what i mean.

This movie was a total waste for being a platinum edition video. This was one of the worst movies of his collection. And if your thinking of gettiing Vol. 2, you should should send the money to me for the review cause vol. 2 is worst than the first one. All these movies contain are old film clips from the other movies. Such as clips from the cancun show or the daytona beach joint, etc. Like I said don't bother buying, borrow this from a friend and laugh at him/her for buying it. Luke fell off, he needs a serious come back. ~CT~
