Don't buy this for children........2006-12-14

I am so sorry I wasted my money on this DVD. I was hoping my kids could get some exercise and have fun learning the dance moves. They never teach the moves. They are just dancing in front of you calling out steps. The quality is poor, too. The camera will focus in on a move and then jump frames into a totally unrelated dance and then back again. It was just horrible. What a disappointment.

I thought this was a fairly easy to follow lesson. My students, grades 3-5 found it a little too fast-paced.
Once suggested the movements be shown in slow motion first,
then gradually speeded up.

Was hoping this would be a lot of fun for my 9 year old, and her younger brothers, too. Forget it. Extremely overwhelming for beginner dancers and fair-to-middlin' dancing moms, too. The moves are cool, no doubt. But my kids won't even attempt it. The coordination is not there. NOT, NOT, NOT begginner friendly. Too fast and too hard.

Ok Iam going to be honest. I don't have the dvd and i've never watched it, but what I can tell you is this. The instructor of this dvd (roger g) is a one of a kind dancer. I kno this because I've seen him perform in new york city's time square train station. OH MY GOD!!! What a performance. He was doing a dance sequence as a mime. It just touched you right in the heart and soul. You just wanted to start moving and pop locking like he was. I can only give such a vague description, because his performance was too astonishing to put into words. I was hooked so much onto it that I just had to see it again. So I made a detour from brooklyn to times square just to see it again, and boy did it make my day. It was the music in the background and the moves and impersenations of everyday life that he was expressing in his dance that just created the right vibe. If you want to see for yourself just go to times square in the trainstation right by the A train and he should be there. hip hop for kids.......2004-07-05

I really enjoyed this dvd. I have an eight year old boy and a five year old girl. I was looking for something that would give them exercise (a little work-out). When the DVD came the children were so excited, the dance steps were fun however they were a little difficult to catch on. By the first week my son was able to do quite a few of the steps. They both love it so much. They want to practice almost every day and I tell them that pratice makes perfect. The only problem I had was that I could not get the DVD to play on my DVD Player, it only plays on my computor. I dont know if it is the DVD or a glitch in my player.

My kids were so excited to try this video. Boy were they disappointed. There is very little instruction. The dances are too hard. The instructor does not do enough teaching. He expects the kids to just follow along. I sure feel ripped off. Dont' waste your money.

Two good routines, maybe?.......2005-08-28

Okay, so if you're looking for one or two routines to dance with and impress your friends, or you just wanna learn some moves- get the video. But if you want to learn long full flat out, good lookin' and well choreographed dances, don't buy it.

Only three dances have good teaching and reviewing. They're all counted out in 8's, but the ones taught by Justin he just teaches you the moves and goes right through it instead of doubling back and doing it again. I suggest having a DVD player that can rewind. There is one popping and locking segment, but it's taught by Justin and is kinda hard to get down. One of the well taught ones is with a bunch of kids and is slower and more juvenile, but would be great for 4-8 year olds looking to jam.

The dances aren't outdated, but they're not the most recent routines. It's a pretty good dvd to go by, memorize some of the dances and use those moves to spice up your jammin' at a dance. I've learned three of the routines and when I go to dances, I mix up the moves I've learned in those dances and add some of my own.

Overall the moves are easy even if it takes a bit to learn them, and I'd suggest it for a beginner hip hop person who wants to delve into it and learn some moves.

There are so many cool dancers and moves in this video. I watch it over and over again with my friends. It is totally fun.

My daughter loves it - Great DVD.......2007-04-01

My daughter is on a youth cheer squad. This DVD is perfect. She loves the routines. She does them alone and with her friends. They're fun and the instruction is fabulous with the Cheeracise instructional flip. I've never seen that before and makes learning the dances easier. The plyometrics is great for her legs. Helps her stretch and strengthen. To tell you the truth, I've joined her a couple of times. My legs feel pretty good after that workout. I recommend this to any girl who cheers or wants to cheer and for any mom who needs to give a good gift too.

This is great! I love that it teaches fast but it uses current music and that you can catch on pretty quickly. It offers great hints on how to stay in shape and look your best. I use this for my squad and for myself. My shoulders already feel this as an asset to my workout.

My kids love this video, although I think that the teacher goes through each step pretty quick. Your child will have to practice it alot of times before they get the dance routine. another + for this DVd is that it has a lot of the new dances out; its a good workout for a parent to do with their child. Make sure that you wear a fitted cap when you do it because it is a part of the routine.

This UMD is full of extras. There are 2 long battles full of crazy moves. If you are into Break Dancing, you need to get this for your PSP or DVD. It has great insight into the history of the dance and will make you wonder, "where was I when this whole scene started to blow up?"
