A fun journey for kids and parents!.......2005-04-17

Identical Harmony's Miss Linda and Miss Lisa really "let their music shine" in this musical journey through the ocean while and some of its creatures. The sign language that accompanies many of the songs engages the kids each time they watch; they also are exposed to basic musical concepts such as rhythm. Best of all, reminiscent of Raffi, the songs sound new and fresh each time you hear them.

Identical Harmony is well known by Seattle Symphony Tiny Tots audiences and with this DVD --many more will know this dynamic twin sister duo with lively and pleasing original songs and rhythms that are family friendly and joyful.
Splish Splash Over the Ocean is a welcome addition to our kids music library and is also played at school when the kindergarteners are getting ready to go home.
The happy scenes, the melodies and the genuine charm of Linda and Lisa are infectious. It's a winner!

The music is great and I especially like the Salmon Song. It's fun to see the kids singing and smiling and it makes me feel happy whenever I watch it.

Fun, musical & nature education.......2005-03-11

My 2 1/2 year old has owned this for almost a year, and it's a constant hit, surprisingly so because she rarely sits still for other videos.

Behind the friendly, fun concert footage -- with Identical Harmony and several kids -- and sea-animal antics are some well-planned educational ideas. Kids "see" rhythm (drum beating, kids marching) as well as hear it. The band explains salmon migration, in song. There is sign language and suggested dance moves, shown by kids, so little viewers learn through kinesthetics as well as music and visual images. My toddler has taken her "knowledge" from this DVD to aquariums ("salmon swimming!" "have adventure today?") and generated exciting family dialogue. And as a parent, it's reassuring to have my child singing positive, meaningful concepts: "let your music shine!"

Identical Harmony love kids, love music and want kids to feel proud of themselves and connected to the rhythms of the natural world. They succeed!
