Product Description
The Baby Einstein Digital Board Book series utilizes the unique features of DVD to create a multisensory learning resource for parents, infants and toddlers. The Baby Newton Digital Board Book features two activity centers. The Baby Newton Video Board Book is presented in the Home Theatre. Chapter cues are encoded throughout the video, allowing parents to repeat or skip particular parts of the program. A truly charming listening experience awaits in the Concert Hall. You and your child will be treated to a collection of concert to excerpts by Antonio Vivaldi and a lively children's song by Jack Moss. Be sure to watch the Video Tutorial in the Resources section for tips on how to use the video and audio programming with your baby. Shapes can be found all around us - in the beauty of nature, in children's toys, and in everyday objects like cars and buildings and at playgrounds. In the Baby Newton video, we give children the opportunity to explore shapes in the world through terrific footage that shows five shapes (circle, triangle, square, oval and rectangle) in these various contexts. We also use puppet shows, unique animation and dynamic sound effects to create an engaging and fun learning environment for children, and our signature classical music enhances the beauty of the natural scenes on screen. Your child will love to dance and clap to our original, animated children's music video I Know My Shapes. In the Baby Newton video, you'll find a program divided into five vignettes. Each is dedicated to a shape and is crafted to provide countless teachable moments. Baby Newton, like our other award-winning videos, will delight and captivate while creating exceptional opportunities for babies and toddlers to explore the world around them. With the Van Gogh, Dolittle, and other Baby programs under their belts, the tots who follow Julie Aigner-Clark's Baby Einstein series will sidle up to Baby Newton expecting a similar exploration of building blocks to brilliance, but this time there's a wrinkle or two. Animation makes its first appearance, and parents steeped in keep-it-simple culture may object to the springy "I Know My Shapes" song, a departure from classical-only video predecessors. Otherwise, the tried-and-true genius launchers of titles past pop up anew--Vivaldi floats through each of five shape segments, and clever puppet shows play quickly and infrequently enough to captivate the under-2 crowd. Plus, talk about well rounded: Clark covers the bases, showing off triangular sails drifting toward the sunset one second and geometric patterns the next. Play it for a departure from skill-building standbys like pop-up books and plastic sorters for ages 1 to 3. --Tammy La GorceCustomer Reviews:
