Product Description

Elina (played by Barbie) must save the realm of Fairytopia from the evil Laverna in this computer animated adventure. Laverna has kidnapped Prince Nalu in an attempt to find a secret berry that will give her control of the land, and it's up to Elina to save him. Her best ally is a xenophobic mermaid named Nori, whose trust Elina must first win over.

So Pretty...But So SHALLOW!.......2007-07-16

This movie is like a chocolate bar wrapper.
On the outside (i.e. the designs/animation) is is adorable, bright colored, and pretty.
However, like a chocolate bar wrapper, it conceals something that is brown, dismal and genuinely unpleasant to look at when you really think about it.
While the message of the film (overall) may be self-sacrifice and teamwork, I really have trouble seeing that.
The two main characters fight with each other...a lot. They are extremely catty in their remarks and base their dislike for each other on their mutual interest in a boy. Nori, the commonere Mermaid is in love with the Prince, but she thinks said prince loves Elina and vice versa. Thus, she uses this as an excuse to be, frankly, a real bitch for the remainder of the film.
Okay. I really don't want any child to think this is acceptable.
Depsite being pretty and well animated, this little movie is a huge disappointment.
A lot of the other Barbie fairy tale movies are better.
But this one...blech.

My daughter loves these barbie movies. I think they are well done and they do not carry anything inapproriate (like so many other movies that do). She pretends to be Eilina ALL the time!! Cant wait for Island Princess...

This is such a great movie! I must say,it was better then the first,just by a inch.The story is about a fairy named Elina.A small butterfly comes to Magic Meadow and needs Elina right away.Laverna's fungass's have captured Elina's friend Nalu!Prince of Mermaidia.The butterfly tells Elina Nalu has sent for her,to help him.So Elina and her pet puff-ball Bibel,follow the butterfly to the beach of Mermaidia.There,Elina meets a beautiful mermaid named Nori.Nori is upset when Elina tells her about Nalu.She is also jealous because Nalu sent for Elina[Nori and Nalu are in love with eachother secretly]to help him.She leaves for Mermaidia,vowing to find Nalu herself.DONT MISS THIS FILM,BECAUSE THATS ALL IM TELLING YOU!!!!!!!!

TRUE LITTLE GIRLS FANTASY MOVIE!! BARBIE HAS COME ALONG WAY SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL!! MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES IT. SHE ALSO TOOK IT TO HER DAY CARE AND THE LITTLE GIRLS NEVER BLINKED THEIR EYES!!

Barbie at its BEST!.......2007-09-10

The STORYLINE is very good. Elina overcomes adversity and peer pressure because she is modest and humble, all the while admitting her mistake (unleashing Laverna) and doing all she could to make it right. What's more, Elina shows compassion and forgiveness to Sunburst, the leader a trio of Elina-haters, by saving her life.

This movie is rich in lessons of humility, perseverence, and forgiveness.

The VISUAL appeal is remarkable! All of the colors and effects are eye-catching and exciting! Of the three Fairytopias, this one is my favorite!

Barbie's show is awesome, I am glad I bought this item,
for it's a masterpiece. The Visuals are spectacular,
the story is cool, where Barbie saves the first blush
of spring. Bibble finds true love, and the spectrum of
fairies and characters are amazing.

Somewhat disappointed.......2007-07-24

I was surprised with this movie. The animation is still beautiful like all of the Barbie movies and Elena is a good role model, but I was disappointed with the plot and character development. In the past two movies Barbie must make sacrifices to save the land she loves, in this one all she has to do is be on somewhat good/bad terms with the other fairies in the school. I just didn't feel as if there was any growth in her character. Yes, she has many gifts - she is a very talented fairy but what does she do with them? She's also the only one who appears to know what is going on and how to the defeat the bad guy. I prefer the other 2 fairytopia movies.

Fairy Fantastic!.......2007-06-25

This is a great movie and collection of stories for those of all ages. The digital work put into this is really quite amazing. I just really wish they would have Elina find a serious love interest soon! While this one focuses on the 'school' experience I feel like Mermaidia was more successful in keeping my attention, but this is still an interesting movie. The characters you really start to feel for, even Laverna. This series is really quite enjoyable and I'm 22, so parents shouldn't find this too dificult to watch over and over. When I have kids I'm going to definetly let them watch this :)

Hi, this is BARBIE LOVER (again) and this movie is pretty cool.It doesn't have anything TRULY scary in it for me. (Swan lake: evil villain's red eyes are so freaky)

SPOILER:Elina is a fairy without wings.She longs to fly like the other fairies, but they all tease her.Meanwhile,the evil fairy Laverna (twin to Fairytopia's ruler the Enchantress) has kidnapped the guardian fairies in order to take over fairytopia.The fairies at the Magic Meadow have trouble flying because this green smoke thing makes them unable to fly.Elina decides to go to the guardian fairy Azura for help.Dandelion,Elina's best friend and Bibble the cute puffball(what is a puffball,anyway?) go with her. Elina also meets other new friends like Hue,(a big,beautiful butterfly) and Dahlia the dryad.But Laverna kidnapped all the guardian fairies and Elina's friends,so Elina has to face Laverna alone.But she gets 'hypnotized' by Laverna to make her ruler of Fairytopia.But Elina resists when its too late,and destroys Laverna and frees her friends.(to know how she did it,get the movie)Together they save Fairytopia and Elina gets a very special gift(get the movie to find out.) Bible is sort of cute;the only word that he says that I can understand is ''Elina-poof'' which means Elina,I think.Hue and Topaz (guardian fairy)have cool accents(that's what I look for in a movie,I don't know why.) Ruby and Topaz are my fave guardian fairies.There are some funny scenes in the movie,too.This movie is great for little kids but I'm 10 yrs. old and I like it.(please DON'T call me a baby!) It's good for fantasy lovers,too. So buy this if you have a little girl(um,6-9,maybe) in your family that loves Barbie and fairies! BARBIE LOVER Please vote on my review! :-)

PS that kid who said on the Barbie Fairytopia Crystal doll reviews "Die,Fairytopia.This doll should marry the devil!".he/she should be quiet and :-x,because he/she is hurting other people's feelings,including mine.
