Nostalgia at its best!.......2007-07-17

I can remember so vividly the Sunday nights by the 10" TV screen waiting for Topo Gigio to come on during the Ed Sullivan Show. Till today some 40 years later, I still love that little mouse! What an innocent time that children could be entertained by a rubber mouse and just a rubber mouse...no computer generated backgrounds, nothing...just little Topo! I miss those days of simplicity and family, everyone sitting in their PJ's waiting for Ed to come out an announce the next act- This DVD is wonderful, and will bring a smile to your face as soon as you see little Topo Gigio- A wonderful addition to your DVD Collection!

This DVD is a great collection of 18 Topo Gigio appearances on The Ed Sullivan show in both black and white and in color. Also included is Topo's first appearance on Sullivan plus a few more segments where Ed talks to the audience about Topo. If you are a current fan or remember growing up with this cute mouse this is one that shouldn't be passed up. Eddie, Kissa Me Goodnight!!!

Viewers of The Ed Sullivan Show were charmed by the antics of the adorable mouse, Topo Gigio. In over 50 appearances, the little Italian mouse would pop up and greet Ed with a sugary, "Hello Eddie!" Created by a troupe of puppeteers, it took four people to bring the 10-inch tall character to life - three to manipulate him and one to do the sweet voice. After visiting with Ed and performing, Topo would sign off with the signature "Keesa me goo'night Eddie."

Topo Shines Again.......2006-02-25

Grew up watching the Ed Sullivan show and Topo Gigio. Even had a Topo stuffed doll as a small child. Boy did this show bring back memories. Believe it or not, I still remembered a few of the skits. This DVD gave me a chance to share a cherished childhood memory with my children.
I recommend this DVD highly.
